A good price is one you understand. Here is what is inside a DakBox price, and the few cases where the final amount can change.
For items from Japan (Dak Proxy and the Dak Proxy shop)
The price you see is the full price in Taka, delivered to your home in Bangladesh. It has three parts:
- The item — the Japanese shop's price in yen, changed to Taka at today's DakBox rate.
- Delivery — from Japan to your address in Bangladesh, worked out from the kind of item and its size.
- The DakBox fee — for buying, checking and handling your order. Items from auctions and flea markets such as Yahoo! Auctions and Mercari have a 15% fee; for other shops the fee depends on the kind of item. It is always shown as its own line.
You see all three before you pay. Nothing is charged when you ask for a price.
When the final amount can change
There are only three cases, and in each one you are told first:
- The seller changes the price before we buy. You see the new price before paying.
- The real weight is different. We weigh every Japan parcel at the DakBox Japan office. Heavier means a small extra delivery payment before it flies; lighter means Dak Wallet credit. See How DakBox checks your order in Japan.
- Bangladesh customs. If customs charges a duty that was not in your price, we tell you before delivery. Customs decisions are made by the authorities.
For Dak Shop (ready stock in Bangladesh)
Dak Shop items are already in Bangladesh. The product price is what you pay for the item; the delivery charge is shown at checkout before you pay.
For Dak Auction
The delivery charge is shown on your winning order before you pay. Auction wins are binding, so bid only what you want to pay.
Paying
You pay DakBox in Taka — by bKash, Nagad or bank. Read How to pay DakBox safely.
